How to install a Canon Printer

This article will explain to you how to install your new canon printer in simple steps-

Step 1: First prepare the printer 

• First, you have to leave the connecter of the printer out of the socket. 
• Remove the packaging of your printer. Make sure that you remove all the plastic protectors from your printer. Do look at the manual, so you don´t forget any of the material. 
• Next, you have to insert the connector into the socket to power the printer. 
• Then place the sheets in the paper tray. 
• Then turn on the printer. 

Step 2: Insert your cartridges and choose your preferred language. 

• Insert the cartridges in their place with a stack of paper. Now you are ready to use your new Canon printer.
• Now you have to select the language of your printer. 

Step 3: Determine the Grids and Align the Scanner

• The printer first prints a print to determine the frames. Means that printer will evaluate where it publishes on the printer. 
• Check if you´re fine with the print. If not, reset the grids.
• Now Place the PCB on the scanner to align the scanner. 

Step 4: Install the Software 

• Now make sure you have connected your printer. and make sure that your computer can control your printer. 
• Now we have to install the software from canon for this. 
• Go to the website canon.com/ijsetup in your browser.
• Now enter the name of your printer in the search bar, or select the correct printer family from the list under select product, for example, PIXMA, I-SENSYS or MAXIFY. On the next page, you can choose the right line and the exact model. The model and number of your canon printer can be found on the front of the device, on the box, and in the manual. 
• Now look for the green frame, and select operating system on which you want to install the printer under Drivers, such as Windows 10 or MacOS high sierra, Right below it, click on Download. 

Step 5: Open the software 

• Open the file and follow the steps. In the second step, choose whether you want to connect via WIFI or with the Cable of the printer. Installing the software can take a few minutes. 

Step 6: Connect to WIFI 

• To connect to your WIFI Go to Settings on your printer and then Device settings and to Wireless LAN settings. 
• Select Default settings or set without Cable.
• Select the name of your network. This is also called SSID. 
• Now enter the password of your WIFI network.
• Press the OK button and you’re ready to go.
